STEM education and outreach for the younger generation.

Describe the creative youth microprojects that your nonprofit would fundraise for if you win.

We are a nationwide nonprofit organization run by college students with the goal of educating K-12 students on the wonders of Space as well as traditional STEM fields. We have 40 chapters across the nation that all participate in various outreach events. Examples include teaching the younger generation about Space, weather, biology, sustainable energy, and more! In addition we coordinate high altitude balloon and rocketry competitions, space days, and astronomy nights.

Explain how possibly gaining funding through the Give for Youth platform would better able you to complete these projects.

If we are granted funding, we will use the funds to purchase additional resources and demos that will provide a greater variety of educational topics to learn about.

Describe why your nonprofit is innovative and entrepreneurial.

We allow each chapter to reach out to their local communities and volunteer to promote STEM fields in an educational, fun, and inspiring manner. Space is the future. We want children countrywide to dream big and realize that the sky is not the limit.

Without a doubt, I owe my career in the space industry to joining my local SEDS chapter as a college freshman. I've seen SEDS have a similar impact on many other students, and am proud to have hired several SEDS members and alumni. This organization accomplishes a lot with only a little in the way of resources, and I'm confident they could really scale up.

Since its founding in 1980, SEDS has been dedicated to inspiring youth to pursue careers related to space exploration and space science. If there's any group that deserves support to continue its mission in engaging young students, SEDS is it!

This is one of the best and most proven student 501c3 organizations out there. Their chapter base has been building and their national core has been strengthening over many years. Super proud of them, please give them your vote!
